“We are thrilled to have partnered with The Dogtors to introduce an AAI programme – Sunshine Canines – to our nursing home. This innovative programme brings joy and companionship to our elderly residents and the results so far have been truly delightful.

After six sessions, we have witnessed firsthand the transformative power of animal companionship. Residents who tend to be less interactive or struggle with low mood, stress or anxiety have shown remarkable improvements, becoming calmer and more engaged with others. The dogs’ presence has brightened their faces and we have even seen residents showering them with affection – one resident even gifted a dog with Jibbitz charms for its crocs shoes!

Our Occupational Therapists have also noticed a significant positive difference in participating residents and we appreciate The Dogtors team’s professionalism and patient treatment towards our residents. The dogs have been incredibly friendly and affectionate, bringing immense joy to all. As we continue our collaboration with The Dogtors, we look forward to exploring the many benefits of AAI for our residents.”
